Today, I´ll introduce 「Kimi ni todoke」(lit. Reaching you) written by Karuho Shiina which is a comic for girls.
Oh, this is the first time I introduce a comic for girls.kkk
「Kimi ni todoke」 is very popular and famous comic in Japan.
In 2008 it won the Best award for a comic for girls in the 32nd Annual Kodansha Manga Award. The series was also nominated for the first Manga Taisho awards in 2008.
An anime adaptation of 「Kimi ni todoke」 is currently started airing in Japan.
And also,in Japanuary, there was an announce that 「Kimi ni todoke」 will filming as a live-action movie.
Then, I´ll show you the summary of this comic.
Sawako Kuronuma is a shy yet honest girl who is in search of friendship. She is called Sadako because of her resemblance to horror film character Sadako. Because of it, she has always been feared and misunderstood. And also, there's rumors that Sawako can see ghosts and curse people, because of her appearance. Therefore,she didn't have any friends. But,when her idle,popular boy Kazehaya ,begins talking with her,everything changes. She finds herself in a new world, trying to make friends, open up to classmates , and talking to different people. She is grateful to Kazehaya for giving her the opportunities to make close friends. Slowly, but surely, a sweet love is blossoming between the two as they will overtake any circumstance or clear obstacles in their way.
My favorite character in this comic is Ryu who is Kazehaya's best friend.
He is quiet most of the time and rarely talks.
He looks like a gruff person, but he has an unobstrusive kindness.
That's why I like him^^
